Edie Teardrop Metal & Wood Pendant Light

The Edie pendant pairs a smooth teardrop shade in matte metal with a natural wood accent at the top, balancing clean Scandinavian lines with a touch of warmth. At 20cm wide and 14cm tall, it is compact enough to work in kitchens and bedrooms of every size, yet the shape still draws the eye whether it hangs alone or in a row.

The shade directs light downwards, giving a focused glow that suits dining tables, kitchen islands and bedside tables. The cord can be adjusted up to 100cm, so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling height and the surface below. It takes a standard E27 bulb, sold separately, which means you can choose a warm filament bulb for evening ambience or a brighter LED for kitchen tasks. Over a table, a drop of around 75cm above the surface usually works well.

With nine colours to choose from, including black, white, grey, green, blue, dark blue, pink, yellow and orange, the Edie can blend quietly into a neutral scheme or add a confident pop of colour. Hang three in different shades over an island for a playful look, or keep to one colour for a calm, cohesive finish. As a hard-wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
