Adjustable Metal Shade Wall Light

A compact conical shade and a small gold-coloured joint give this wall light a useful balance of simple form and warm detail. The round plate sits close to the wall, with the shade angled away from it to direct light into the room. The design feels understated enough for bedroom furniture or a study area, while the contrasting metal accent gives it more character than a completely plain fitting.

Black provides a stronger outline, and White creates a lighter appearance against pale paint. Both share the same illustrated 13 cm shade length and 13 cm opening diameter, with a 10 cm mounting plate. The adjustable joint lets the shade’s angle change, although the exact range is not specified. Plan its position from the viewpoint of the person using the space, allowing the shade room to move without meeting a shelf, curtain or nearby picture.

The light takes a separately purchased E27 bulb and uses a hardwired connection for dry indoor rooms. Choose a compatible light source whose brightness and colour suit the surrounding lamps. The metal shade keeps the design focused on the area beneath its opening, making the fitting useful as part of a layered bedroom or living-room arrangement. A pair can frame furniture with a consistent finish, while one lamp can add a more modest accent beside a chair or desk.
