The Flute Pendant

A slim column of marble, opened down one side to let the light out.

The Flute is a narrow marble cylinder, 30 cm tall and just 8 cm across, with a single vertical slot cut through the stone. The LED sits inside, so the light washes the inner face of the marble and leaves through the opening as a soft line rather than a glare. Unlit, it reads as a piece of stone hung in the room.

• Marble body: veining and tone differ from piece to piece, so no two hang quite alike.
• A slot, not a shade: light grazes the stone from within and falls in a narrow, low-glare band.
• Slim enough to repeat: at Ø 8 cm it works alone beside a bed, or in a row of three over an island.
• Integrated LED: built in, with nothing to buy and nothing to change.

Made for bedsides, kitchen islands and dining tables where a quiet accent does more than a bright one.
