The Rosette Wall Light

A pleated ceramic flower, with a milk-glass centre.

Twenty-five centimetres of matte ceramic folded into a corolla, with an opal sphere at its heart. The light spills across the pleats rather than out at you — closer to a wall sculpture that happens to glow.

• Matte ceramic body: the texture reads as shaped, not moulded — every piece takes the glaze slightly differently.
• Opal centre: warm, milky light with no hard shadow line.
• Four mineral finishes: white, green, brown and black.
• Made to group: hang two symmetrically either side of a bed, or scatter several across a wall.

Made for bedheads, hallways and living-room walls where a wall sculpture would work as well as a light.
